{birthday girl}

Okay, okay.  I fail.  I am a week late in wishing you a happy birthday.  You ended up with a terrible fever due to an ear infection which left you pretty miserable and sad most of the week.  But with a few days and antibiotics, you are are back to your normal giggly and smiley self.  


We celebrated the night before with french fries (one of your favorite things) and ice cream the night before and opened all your presents.  The morning of your birthday we celebrated by dropping off small gifts for the current NICU residents and a visit to our NICU family.

Sofi Lee, the last two years have been absolutely wild- full of joy and fear and frustration and excitement and always full of surprises.  But mostly they have been filled with overwhelming love in this little family of ours.  We couldn't imagine life without you.  Happy birthday, sweet girl.  My little, Big Girl.  Love you.
