{allergies + other fun things}

Where does the time go?  Seriously. It is absolutely amazing to me that I have a 2.5 year old.  Let me sum up the past few months.

 Sofi + allergies + 2.5 years old = no sleep + a whole lot of tantrums

That is basically all there is to say about that.  We love you tons and are happy to report that the Claritin is doing its job and hoping that we are experiencing the terrible twos and moving on to the terrific threes.  Deal?

Lots of new things going on with you.

You are talking (though I can understand the most of what you say).  Some words include: mama, papa, mommy, daddy, choo choo, beep beep, thank you, nana, bubbles, no, yes, book, read, wait, move, kitty, dog, Elmo, iPod/iPad, cup, bowl, pop, nose, button, rock, push, wait, and a whole bunch more.  Those are just the most frequently used words.

You still have zero interest in the toilet and would prefer to walk around in a dirty diaper all day than to relax for even one minute to get it changed.

You love strollers, wiggle cars, and shopping carts.  You love your music class and all the instruments and dancing and moving we do there.  You love, love Skyping and talking on the phone.  You love stickersYou love to water the garden in the backyard.  You love to dig and rake the dirt, but most importantly, you love to sit on the edge of the sidewalk, take off your shoes, and purposely rub dirt between each one of your little toes.  Hilarious considering your reaction the first time the dirt from the garden got into your jellies and between your toes.  Basically, you must choose to do anything.  Anything not in your power is automatically the worst thing ever.  That pretty much sums up your feelings toward life right now.

Frozen blueberries, strawberries, cherries, raspberries, mint water, cereal, enchiladas, noodles ("noo-noos"), potatoes, tortillas, apples, peas and corn on occasion, mushrooms, popcorn, crackers, and sliced turkey are your foods of choice as of late.  And sometimes ice cream if it has blue sprinkles.  I am thinking I should start putting those on everything.  Avocado? Salad? Yup, seems like a good idea to me.

You love to do everything yourself and you love to help mommy.

You love shoes.  In fact, the other day you put on every single pair of shoes and walked around the entire house in them.

You hate sleeping/napping, putting on your oxygen tubes, being in the car sometimes, diaper changes, taking pictures, and when mommy tries to play the piano.

Unfortunately, you love biting your nails and picking your nose (and handing mommy the boogers...but at least you don't eat them).  These are some things we are trying really hard to work on.

Sofi Lee, we love you so much.  And even though there a lot of tough moments, there are also a lot of wonderful ones too.  I wouldn't trade my job for anything else in the world.

We love you, sweet girl.
