{babe-raham lincoln + other updates}

We have had so much fun in the past few weeks. Here is my report: We gave you a bath tonight after you pooped. Everywhere. Your dad. Your clothes. Your blanket. The couch. During the bath, we thought it would be fun to put some bubbles on your chin and you looked slightly reminiscent of one Abraham Lincoln. Or perhaps Babe-raham Lincoln. Contrary to the picture, you laughed a lot and seemed to think it was all lots of fun. But the flash and camera always manage to make you give me the deer-in-the-headlights look.
On Monday, we went to your six month check-up. You measured 7 pounds 11 ounces and 21 inches long. You quickly showed the doctor how much you like to talk. And kick. It's a good thing you are so cute :) You also received your next set of vaccinations. One of which was oral. I moved around to the other side of the table as the nurse gave it to your via a syringe, and you watched and smiled at me the whole time. I am thinking it must have tasted pretty good to you. Following that oral vaccination you received two more shots, one in each leg. To say I felt sad following those shots would be an understatement. Fortunately, you calmed down within seconds of me picking you up. Oh, the magic of snuggling.

Other than that we have just been doing a lot of singing, book reading, and playing. We have been working on tummy time so you can strengthen your neck. We're getting closer. Sofi, we love you and love spending time with you. Sleep tight, love!
