{tide pools + the lighthouse + a padres game}
Our second day in San Diego was jam packed. First we drove to the tide pools. This is where the low tide reveals pockets in the rock and sand. These pockets hold water, fish, crabs, and other little sea creatures. We were told the lowest tides occur in early December and reveal bigger creatures like octopus and others. So, so cool. Not far up the hill is an old lighthouse with gorgeous views of the marina. You and I climbed all the way up the stairs of the lighthouse and you finished the way on the ladder to very tippy top. It was pretty tight up there and I had a heck of time getting you back down. But you loved it. That evening we drove downtown to see the second Padres vs Yankees game. Since the Padres don't often get to play the Yankees, this was a crazy packed game. We had the greatest seats intended for families with grass in between aisles and a major sandbox at the bottom. You had such a blast in the sand all night.
