{halloween 2013}

Holy Halloween pictures, Sofi!

We started the night out at the the Ward chili dinner and trunk-or-treat.  The first piece of candy you received was a blue Dum-Dum and after that, you really couldn't have cared less about anything else.  Just a blue Dum-Dum and stairs.  You are pretty easy to please. But of course, I need my pictures (and a Reeses Peanut Butter cup), so I eventually convinced you to go around to most of the trunks.

By 6:45, you were begging to get out of your costume, so we headed home and went around to three of our cute neighbors homes for the real trick-or-trick experience.  Our first neighbors (whom you love), invited you in and oohed and ahhed and gave you your very own treat bag with several pieces of candy and a mini orange soda).  So when we went to the next neighbors house, you got your candy and automatically assumed she would invite you in.  Luckily, you are dang cute so we all went in for a visit.  We went to one more neighbor's house, one we actually haven't run into yet, and you asked to come in again. I don't know if we have started a very good pattern.  You can't just walk into any house, you know :)

After running back home and getting into your jammies, we headed over to our friend's house for some games.  You thought the donuts on strings were kind of strange and after licking it several times, gave up and handed the donut back to me.  Then Liam tried to wrap you up in toilet paper.  We kept trying to get you to twirl around, but you were definitely confused.  After playing in the toilet paper awhile, you played a final game of Don't Eat Pete.  A crowd-pleaser, for sure.  One player leaves the room, while the other players decide which monster is dubbed "Pete" for that round.  The exiled player is invited back in and eats a chocolate one by one until he or she tries to eat "Pete" and all the other players yell, "Don't eat Pete!!!!"  You were probably the slowest, since you don't love candy that much, but you had a lot of fun.

We had such a fun and long night.  You were exhausted and here we are in November already.  Only 21 more days until your 3rd birthday...how did that happen?
