{helmet}

This morning I took you in to see the people (or man) at Fit Well where measurements of your head were taken and questions were answered regarding your helmet.  It was a short visit and you were great.  You were so calm while letting the man take measurements of your head.

He said that the duration of your helmet-wearing days would be dependent on your growth and the resolution of your torticollis.  He said that since you should be growing quickly, your head should round out fairly quickly- probably in the average three months.  However, it is very important that we do your stretches and resolve the torticollis or else you may be inclined to favor your left side again after the helmet is removed and flatten it out all over again.  So we are going to be even more diligent in your stretches.

Now we just have to to wait for insurance approval before going in for a head casting and the final production of your helmet.  After that, we will follow up every three weeks, adjusting your helmet as needed and monitoring your progress.  It's going to be a busy, busy next few months!  Luckily, Fit Well is literally less than a five minute drive from our house, so it will be a quick and easy trip each time.

I forgot to bring the camera to get pictures, but I intend to bring one to the casting.  THAT will be a fun visit.

Love you.
