{another day}

Hey, Sofi girl!

We have had such a busy couple of weeks- progress abounding everywhere!

Just yesterday, in fact, you were turned to low flow! You are currently on 0.8 of a liter at 100% oxygen. That is an amount that you can come home on. You see, we don't get to take home what is called a "blender" that can mix oxygen and allow us to choose the concentration, so you have to get 100% oxygen at whatever flow you can tolerate. 0.7 was just a bit too low for you yesterday, but 0.8 is absolutely amazing. We brought in a yummy cake to celebrate with the nurses.

You are eating better and better all the time, with a few give-ups in between. You tried your first bottle this last week (filled with pumped milk so I don't have to come in at 1 in the morning...at least until you come home). I think nursing is definitely your favorite, but you were especially hungry today (a growth spurt, perhaps?) and I gave you about 1/3 of a bottle after you nursed just to top you off. I guess that was just what you needed after laying awake for 2 hours. You were just really, really hungry today. Hopefully growing tons of alveoli :)

You hit the 5 pound mark this week which means you will be in newborn clothes very soon!

We are all ready for you to come home, and it's coming so fast! We are bringing your car seat today for a test, scheduling your hearing test and your RSV shot, and watching our CPR and Purple Crying videos. We will have to update you about those later.

Sofi, you are so amazing. We love you very, very much and look forward to every feeding and every visit. The time is quickly drawing near. Keep growing, sweet girl. We'll see you very soon!
